Preparation Time: 60 Minute
Serves: 18-20 Pieces of Khaja
Ingredients
500 Gram Refined Flour (Maida)
2 Tablespoon Ghee
½ Teaspoon Salt
¾ Tablespoon Sugar (Powdered)
For the mixture
3 Tablespoon Ghee
3 Tablespoon Vanaspati Ghee
3 Tablespoon Cornflour
Preparation
First keep the Refined Flour into the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Mix the Ghee, Refined Flour, Salt and enough cold Water to prepare a Dough. After preparing the Dough keep it aside for 30 minutes.
For the mixture: Mix the Ghee and Vanaspati together them and then add the Cornflour, Sugar Powder and mix it well.
Divide the Dough into two parts. Take one Dough Portion and roll it like a Chapatti and apply half the mixture over the Chapatti. Then roll another Chapatti and apply the remaining mixture over that Chapatti. Keep one Chapatti on top of the other and prepare a tight Roll and then cut the roll into ½ Inch pieces. Keep the cut portion on top and carefully roll into a small Puri sized shape.
Then heat the Oil in a Kadai and deep-fry on a low flame and then remove from the flame when slightly browned.
Finally, apply the Powdered Sugar on both the sides.
