This is a simple to implement recipe for making at home typical Indian Style Chicken Mulligatawny Soup. The Chicken Mulligatawny Soup, which uses Pepper as the main flavoring ingredient is basically an English Chicken Soup, which has originated from Madras.
There are numerous variation of the Chicken Mulligatawny Soup, which can also be found in up-market restaurants and 5 star hotels.
The recipe given in this article is a simple Indian Style variation of the Chicken Mulligatawny Soup, which is easy to prepare, once all the ingredients are in place.

Ingredients
10 Peppercorns [Kali Miri]
1 small sized Chicken
½ teaspoon Ginger
2 teaspoon Turmeric
1 table spoon Coriander
1 teaspoon Chili
1 Onion
1 Lemon
2 tablespoons Ghee or Butter
Salt as per taste
Preparation
Grind the Peppercorns along with the Chili, Ginger, Turmeric and Coriander to prepare a fine powder and then moisten this powder with a little bit of water to make a fine paste.
Slice the Onion finely.
Joint the Chicken and then simmer it in about a liter of water.
Then, after about 10 minutes or so add the Spices Paste and simmer on until the Chicken pieces are tender.
Heat the Ghee in a clean pan and fry the onions until they become golden brown.
Add the Onions to the Soup and Chicken.
Then, season with Salt and cook until it starts boiling.
Serve with Boiled Rice and Lemon Slices.
