This is a Recipe for Chatpata Sev. These are two different kinds of Sev recipes, Potato Sev and Rice Sev, which are combined to prepare a unique and tasty fast food snack.
Ingredients
1 Cucumber (finely chopped)
1 Tomato (finely chopped)
1 Onion (finely chopped)
Green Coriander (chutney) – See Chutney Recipes
Sweet and Sour Chutney made from Dates
Chaat Masala
Salt and Red Chili Powder to taste
¼ Tea spoon Black pepper Powder
¼ Teaspoon Soda carb
Salt as per taste
For the Potato Sev
2 Potatoes (boiled and mashed)
½ Teaspoon Ginger Green Chili Paste
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
2-3 Drops of Yellow Color
Salt as per taste
For the Rice Sev
Boil Water with Pepper and Soda bi-carb. Add Rice Flour and stir with a wooden spoon mixing thoroughly to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture leaves the side of the vessel.
Remove from the gas, cover and keep for few minutes.
When it cools, fill the mixture in a Sev making machine; press and drop Sev (size of spaghetti) on a steel plate or a dish with holes. Steam it again for a few minutes. Invert on a serving plate.
For Serving
Take Rice Sev on a serving plate. Sprinkle Salt, Red Chili Powder, and Chaat Masala add Cucumber, Tomato and Onion pieces and pour both the Chutnies. On top, garnish with Potato Sev and Coriander Leaves.
For the Potato Sev
Mix all the Ingredients thoroughly, press and drop thoroughly a Sev machine on to the previously made Rice Sev.
