This is a simple step-by-step Recipe for making at home Tasty and Crispy Restaurant Style Cauliflower Chops, a crispy vegetarian starter snack for any kind of party, including cocktail and kitty parties.
This dish can also be served as a stand-alone snack or as a part of the main course.
Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 5-6 Persons
Ingredients
1 Large Cauliflower
1 Tea spoon Pepper
1 Tea spoon Turmeric Powder
Salt as per taste
For the Batter
100 Grams Refined Flour
50 Gram Cheese (grated)
1 Tea spoon Milk
1 Egg (separated)
1 Table spoon Butter (melted)
2 Tea spoon Pepper
A pinch of Salt
Preparation
Cut the Cauliflower into medium size pieces.
Pre-boil the floweret’s in enough Water with the Salt, Turmeric Powder and Pepper.
Drain and keep them aside.
To Prepare the Batter
Mix the Refined Flour, Salt, Egg Yolk, melted Butter and the Milk and stir to make a smooth mixture.
Add enough Water to make a thick Batter. Add the grated Cheese, beat well with a fork, and keep aside or half an hour.
Beat the Egg white until stiff and fold into the Batter.
Heat the Oil, then dip the Cauliflower pieces in this Batter, and deep-fry them until done.
Serve hot with Tomato Sauce.
