This is a Recipe for preparing at home tasty Konkani Dal. This Konkani Dal, which makes the use of Tur Dal is prepared in the authentic and traditional Konkani Maharashtrian style of cooking.

Ingredients
1 Cup Red Gram Dal (Tur Dal)
2 Green Chilies (slit)
2 Table spoon Tomato (chopped)
2 Table spoon Onion (chopped)
½ Cup Coconut (grounded paste)
¼ Cup Coriander
For the Tadka
½ Tea spoon Oil
1 Tea spoon Mustard Seeds
1 Tea spoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Tea spoon Asafoetida
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric Powder
7 Curry Leaves
Salt as per taste
Preparation
In a Pressure Cooker, cook the Dal, Green Chilies, Tomato, Onion along with two cups of Water for three-four whistles.
Heat the Oil in a Kadhai, add the Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida, Turmeric, Curry leaves, Salt, then add cooked Dal, grounded Coconut, and then mix it well. Cook for five minutes on a slow flame
Serve hot with Rice.
