This is a Recipe for making at home sweet, tasty and delicious authentic Maharashtrian Style Ananas or Pineapple Sudharas. This is a traditional thick juice or syrup preparation, which can be used as an add-on to the main course or even be served for dessert.
The Pineapple Sudharas tastes good with Chapattis and can also be included in tiffin boxes, including those of school going children.

Preparation Time: 45 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons
Ingredients
1 Cup Pineapple Pieces
1 ½ Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Water
¼ Teaspoon Pineapple Essence
8 -10 Saffron Sticks
Preparation
Take a ripe Pineapple and skin and cut it into small pieces.
In a Vessel add the Sugar and Water, mix it well and keep it on a slow flame for 10-15 minutes or until the Sugar syrup is lightly thick.
Then add the Pineapple pieces and cook 5 minutes on a slow flame.
Remove the Vessel from the flame and add the Pineapple Essence, Saffron and mix it well and keep it aside for cooling.
