This is a simple and easy step by step Recipe for preparing crispy and tasty Snack Bar Style Cauliflower [ Kobi or Gobi] Samosa. This is a fast food recipe, which can be served anytime; during meals, as a snack or for parties.
Preparation Time: 60 Minutes
Serves: 4 Persons
Ingredients [for stuffing]
½ Kg Cauliflower (cut in Small pieces)
1 Big Size Onion (cut in small pieces)
4 – 5 Green Chilies (cut in small pieces)
¼ Cup Coriander
½ Table spoon Lemon Juice
1 Table spoon Oil
Salt to taste
For Tadka
1 Table spoon Oil
1 Tea spoon Rai
1 Tea spoon Jeera
½ Tea spoon Hing
½ Tea spoon Turmeric
7-8 Leaves Kadipatta
For Samosa Patti
¼ Kg Maida
1 Table spoon Oil (Hot)
1 Tea spoon Ajwain
1 Tea spoon Turmeric
Salt to taste
(Take Maida in one plate then add the oil, Salt, Ajwain and Turmeric and mix well. Then add some water and make dough and keep aside for one hour)
Oil for frying [as required]
Preparation
Heat the Oil in a frying pan and then add the Rai, Jeera, Hing, Turmeric and Kadipatta. Then add the Onion and fry for 2-3 minutes then add Cauliflower, Salt and two table spoon Water then cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5 – 7 minutes on a slow sim. Then add lemon juice and Coriander and mix it well.
Then make big size puris form the dough and cut it in 2 parts. Fold one piece in a triangular shape and stuff the Cauliflower mixture in it and then press from the side and keep aside.
Then heat the Oil in the frying pan and deep fry the Samosa.
Serve hot with Tomato Sauce or Chutney.
