Recipe for Dhokla

This is a Recipe for preparing at home, Mithai Shop Style soft and puffy Dhokla.  Dhokla is a very popular and famous Snack all over India.

Ingredients
500 Grams Gram Dal powder
½ Fresh Coconuts
½ Tea spoon Turmeric powder
½ Tea spoon Mustard Seeds
1 Tea spoon Coriander-Cumin powder
¼ Tea spoon Baking powder
½ Cup Soar butter Milk
1 Bunch fresh Coriander leaves
8 Green Chilies
1 Inch Pieces Ginger
2 Table spoon Groundnut Oil
Salt to taste
500 Ml. Water

Preparation
Mix Gram Dal powder with water. Add baking powder and Butter Milk and mix it well. After five minutes add Turmeric Powder, Coriander-Cumin Powder and a Masala of Chilies, Ginger and Salt ground together. Mix well. Pour water into a cooker body. Grease the separator with the Dal batter. Place separators inside the cooker body and cook on maximum heat, without vent weight for eight minutes. Open cooker immediately. Remove separators. Cut the steamed Dhoklas into Cubes. Season with heated Oil and Mustard seeds. Garnish with grated Coconut and Coriander.
