This is a simple Recipe for preparing traditional Maharashtrian Konkani Style Dal. This Amti, which uses Tur Dal and Grated Coconut as the main ingredients is commonly prepared in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
Ingredients
1 Cup Tur Dal
1 small Muli
1 Small Onion
1 Drum stick
2 Green Chili
¼ Cup Coconut (grind)
Salt to taste
For Tadka
1 Table spoon Oil
1 Tea spoon Rai
1 Tea spoon Jeera
¼ Tea spoon Hing
¼ Tea spoon Turmeric
Preparation
First take Tur Dal, Muli, Onion & Green chili and give 2-3 whistles in pressure cooker.
Prepare tadka and then add the cooked Dal, Coconut, Drum Stick and Salt and cook for 8-10 minutes on slow sim. Serve hot with Rice.
