This is a Recipe for preparing at home Raw Plantain thoran. One of the authentic and traditional Kerala recipes which, I have tried; tastes good. I have simplified the preparation method to make the Banana Thoran easy to cook.
Ingredients
6 Raw Plantains (chopped)
½ Cup Moong (cooked)
½ Coconut (grated)
4 Green Chilies
3 Flakes of garlic
1 Tea spoon Jeera
1 Table spoon Oil
½ Tea spoon Mustard seeds
½ Tea spoon Urad Dal
Curry leaves
Preparation
Pour Oil in a kadhai and when it is heated, add the mustard seeds. Add the ground masala with a pinch of haldi powder when the mustard seeds splutter. Add the cut banana. Stir and mix together. Add little water and allow to cook till it dries.
