This is a Recipe for preparing Khamang Dodka. (Spicy Ridge Gourd Vegetable Preparation). This is another Maharashtrian vegetable dish; a spicy one which makes use of the Ridge Groud.
Ingredients
250 Gram Dodka
½ Cup Pinots Powder
½ Cup Coconut (Shredded)
3-4 Green Chilies (chopped)
¼ Cup Coriander
1 Tea spoon Lemon Juice
Sugar and Salt to taste
For Tadka
1 Table spoon Oil
1 Tea spoon Mustard Seeds
1 Tea spoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Tea spoon Asafetida
Preparation
Skin the Dodka and then chop it. Then mix the Peanut powder, Coconut, Green Chiles, Coriander, Lemon Juice, Sugar and Salt. Then Heat the Oil and prepare Tadka and then mix it with the Dodka mixture.
The Khamang Dodka is ready to serve.
