This is a Recipe for Lasoon Rasam. A garlic flavored Rasam specialty dish, which not tastes great but is also good for health, especially the stomach.
Ingredients
1 Cup Red Dal (Tur Dal)
1” Ginger
4 Petals Garlic
A Small piece of Tamarind (soak)
2 Tablespoon Coriander Leaves
Salt as per taste
For the Rasam Powder (grind)
1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
½ Teaspoon Pepper Corn
1 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds
1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
Preparation
Cook the Red Gram Dal and keep it aside. Soak the Tamarind in one glass of Water. Grind the Rasam Powder. Add the Rasam Powder, Salt, and Tamarind into the Red Gram Dal and then boil for ten minutes.
Now add two glass of Water into the cooked Dal and cook for five minutes, then season with Mustard Seeds, Coriander and Curry Leaves.
Serve hot. It removes body pain, is good for heart and relives gastric problems.
