This is a Recipe for Spinach Kadhi, a Palak flavored Kadhi to suit the taste buds of Spinach Lovers, can also be taken with rice.
Ingredients
1 Cup Curd
3 Cup Water
1 ½ Tablespoon Gram Flour
A small bunch of Spinach
A pinch of Turmeric Powder
Salt as per taste
2 Teaspoon Oil
2 Tablespoon Ghee
½ Teaspoon Sugar
Seasonings
A pinch of Asafoetida
¼ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
¼ Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
1-2 Red Chilies
A Pinch Garam Masala
A Pinch Pepper Powder
For the Masala Paste
1 Green Chilly
½” Piece of Ginger
2-3 Cloves
1 Small Onion
Preparation
Boil the Spinach and then grind it into a paste with the Masala. Beat the Curd with Water. Add some Salt, Turmeric Powder, Gram Flour and Sugar, and mix thoroughly. Heat the Oil and season with the Ingredients given, except the Garam Msala and Pepper. Add the cooked Spinach and fry for a minute or two. Add the Buttermilk mixture, simmer for a while and remove from fire.
Before serving, heat the Ghee, add the Pepper and Garam Masala Powder, and stir for one minute. Pour into the Kadhai and mix.
