Ingredients
Half a Kilogram of Cauliflower [Phool Gobi]
Two-Three Green Chilies [Hari Mirch]
One-Inch Ginger Piece [Adrak]
Four-Five Petals Garlic [Lasoon]
7-8 Curry Leaves [Kadi Patta]
Two Medium Sized Onions [finely chopped]
One teaspoon Lime Juice
Salt as per taste and requirement
Sugar as per taste
A few chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
¼ Cup Shredded Coconut for garnishing
For Tadka
One tablespoon Cooking Oil
¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder [Haldi Powder]
Preparation
Clean and wash the Cauliflower, seperate from the stem and shred finely and keep aside.
Grind the Ginger and Garlic to a paste and keep aside.
Heat the Oil in a Kadai, add the Onion and Haldi, and give a Tadka and when the Onion starts sweating add the Ginger-Garlic paste and the Lime Juice and cook for 2-3 minutes on a low flame.
Then add the shredded Cauliflower and cover with an inverted stainless steel plate and pour some water over the plate and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Then add the Salt and Sugar as per your taste cook for 2 minutes on a slow flame.
Remove from the fire and while garnishing sprinkle the chopped Coriander leaves and Shredded Coconut and serve.
If needed Sev can also be sprinkled over the Cauliflower Upma.
